Boss Naari is operated by Cilia Consulting (“Boss Naari”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use boss-naari.com or book a session with us, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. Please read it together with our Terms and Conditions.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details: your name, email address, phone number and country, when you fill in our contact form or book a discovery call.
- What you tell us: the message you send through the form, and what you share during your discovery call so that we can match you with a therapist.
- Booking details: your therapist, your session dates and times, and your country of residence.
- Payment details: the amount paid, the date and a transaction reference. Payments are handled by our payment gateway partner, and we do not receive or store your card details.
- Session information: what you share with your therapist during sessions, and any notes your therapist keeps as part of their professional practice.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage information: your browser and device type, the pages you visit, how you reached the website and your approximate location based on your IP address.
- Cookies and similar technologies, described in section 5.
2. How we use your information
- To reply to your questions and arrange your discovery call
- To match you with a therapist and schedule, deliver and manage your sessions
- To take payments, issue invoices and process refunds
- To send you booking confirmations, reminders and other service messages
- To keep our website secure, filter spam and understand how the website is used so we can improve it
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations
We use your information with your consent, to provide the services you ask for, and to comply with the law. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use what you share in therapy for marketing.
3. Sensitive information and confidentiality
Information about your mental and emotional health is sensitive, and we treat it with extra care. What you share in a session stays between you and your therapist. The exceptions are where there is a risk of serious harm to you or someone else, or where the law requires disclosure. Sessions are not recorded without the consent of everyone in the session.
If someone else pays for your sessions, we do not share what you say in sessions with them.
4. Who we share your information with
- Your therapist, so they can provide your sessions. Our therapists are independent professionals bound by confidentiality.
- Service providers who help us run Boss Naari: our website host (Hostinger), Google (website analytics, and Google Meet for session video calls), HubSpot (managing enquiries and communication), Akismet (spam filtering), our payment gateway partner, and the email service we use for messages. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
- Our accountants, legal advisers and government or regulatory authorities, where this is required by law.
5. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, to measure visits and to understand how the site is used. These come from Google Analytics, HubSpot and WP Statistics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The website will still work, although some features may not work as intended.
6. Where your information is stored
Boss Naari is based in India. Your information may be stored and processed in India and in other countries where our service providers operate. When information is transferred, we take steps to make sure it stays protected in line with this policy and the law.
7. How long we keep your information
We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described above, or for as long as the law requires, for example for tax and accounting records. When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it anonymous.
8. How we protect your information
We limit access to your information to the people who need it to provide your care or run the service, and we use reputable providers with security safeguards in place. No online service can be completely secure, so if you think your information has been misused, please tell us straight away.
9. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Give you a copy or summary of the personal information we hold about you
- Correct or update information that is wrong or incomplete
- Delete your information, unless we need to keep it by law
- Stop using your information where you have withdrawn your consent
- Record a person you nominate to exercise your rights on your behalf if you are unable to
If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to object to or restrict how we use your information, to receive it in a portable format, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
To use any of these rights, write to dnyanada@boss-naari.com. We aim to respond within 30 days. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it, and it may mean we can no longer provide sessions to you.
10. Children
Our services are for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Links to other websites
Our website links to other services, such as Reddit, WhatsApp, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. If we make a significant change, we will let you know on the website or by email.
13. Contact and grievances
For any question, request or complaint about your personal information, contact Dnyanada Madan, Founder, at dnyanada@boss-naari.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India, or your local data protection authority if you live outside India.
