Boss Naari

Our Mission

At Boss Naari, our mission is to make culturally-sensitive, gender-aware mental health care accessible to Indian women.

We aim to break the silence around emotional struggle, challenge outdated narratives about strength and sacrifice, and create a new standard of care that reflects the realities Indian women live every day.

Through therapy, community, and conversation, we’re here to support women in reclaiming their right to emotional wellbeing – not as a luxury, but as a necessity.

Our approach

At Boss Naari, we approach therapy through a lens that honours both your individual needs and the relational, cultural world you live in. We are feminist, trauma-informed, and culturally rooted – but most importantly, we’re human-first.

We understand that Western therapy models don’t always translate to the Indian context. Advice like “just set boundaries” or “cut them off” can feel unrealistic or even unsafe when you’re embedded in complex family systems and intergenerational expectations. That’s why our approach is nuanced, compassionate, and tailored to your lived experience.

We prioritise depth over speed, care over scale. No VC targets. No rushed growth. Just meaningful, consistent support from therapists who are fairly paid, aligned with our mission, and here to walk with you. Expect a mix of evidence-based tools and deep listening, thoughtful reflection and emotional clarity. Whether you’re exploring anxiety, trauma, identity, or simply the exhaustion of holding it all together, we meet you with curiosity, not judgment.

FAQs

Most people who come to therapy just know that something feels off. It’s often triggered by a life situation – conflict, change, loss, or pressure that leaves you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, burned out, emotionally shut down or low on energy. You might notice shifts in mood, energy, sleep, or appetite. If you’re feeling stuck or not like yourself, therapy can help you make sense of it.

We offer therapy that’s grounded in your cultural reality. Our Indian-origin therapists understand the nuances of family, social norms, guilt, and identity that many Indian women navigate, despite living abroad. You won’t need to over-explain your life before you can start healing it.

Absolutely. Finding the right therapist is like finding the right pair of shoes – you need one that fits you. We offer a free pre-therapy consultation and full support if you’d like to try a different match.

Yes. Your privacy is deeply respected and protected. We follow strict confidentiality guidelines, and what you share stays between you and your therapist, unless there’s a risk of harm to yourself or others, which we handle with care and professionalism. Boss Naari is GDPR-compliant, meaning your data is stored securely and your personal information is never shared without your explicit consent. That’s one of the reasons, we do not welcome psychology interns to watch over the sessions.

Sessions are 60 minutes (unless stated otherwise by your therapist) long and held online. In the initial sessions, your therapist will take time to understand your story, your patterns, and what triggers you. As you progress, your therapist will introduce a structured format with a shared agenda tailored to your goals. You don’t need to come prepared – just come as you are.

That’s more common than you think – and totally okay. Therapy is a space to figure it out. You don’t need perfect words. You just need to show up.

We charge anywhere between €60 to €120  per 60-minute session with our non-resident Indian therapists, and ₹2000 per session with therapists based in India. The pricing varies based on the therapist’s qualifications and experience. We also offer discounted package bookings, as they help reduce administrative overhead.

Yes you can. Many of our clients are women whose kids, siblings, or loved ones abroad support them in starting therapy. If your mom is open to it, we can help you set up the sessions and handle the payments from your end.

Yes, we accept payments in US Dollars, as well as in Indian Rupees, Euros, and Australian Dollars. We’re actively working to support more currencies and integrate additional payment service providers (PSPs). If your wallet speaks a different language, just give us a shout. We’re happy to explore new options.
